Fortnite Season 8 Locations

One thing is guaranteed with each new Fortnite Season: the map will change. Season 8 is no different. It features a heavily changed map, although some of the major changes between Season 6 and Season 7 remain.

Fortnite Season 8 – Where are the Airplanes?

Fortnite Season 8 is almost four weeks in and the biggest disappointment is no airplanes. They were introduced with Season 7 but vaulted now that Season 8 has begun. Maybe they just didn’t fit with the pirate theme for Season 8.

The airplane in Fortnite, properly known as the X-4 Stormwing, added a new dimension of gameplay. It was also a great way to travel from one end of the map to another during a match. Will the Fortnite airplanes return in Season 9? Only time will reveal the answer. For now, you must make do with other methods of travel in the game.

One new vehicle is the Driftboard, which was introduced in the 7.40 Content Update. This is a hoverboard that keeps you close to the ground, but lets you go very fast. It’s essentially an upgraded version of the old Hoverboard from the Save the World edition (PvE) of Fortnite.
